Your friends at IMAC, USA welcome everyone who will be joining us for the 2nd Annual Martial Arts Olympics East-West Open. We look forward to sharing this extraordinary experience with you in April 2008; and, wish you the best of success at the East-West Open. In addition to organizing a once-in-lifetime trip for the competitors and spectators, IMAC USA was challenged to select a team to compete in the Olympic 'Battle of the Continents' which will feature fighting teams representing Asia, Europe, North America; and, the host country Russia. As a result, IMAC's scouting team set-out on a nationwide search to find the most outstanding American martial artists. With so much exceptional talent here in the United States, this mission proved to be demanding, but also extremely rewarding. We'd like to share with you a few great stories; and, martial artists we've had the pleasure to meet along the way. Athletes, that you can call teammates. Together, we will show the world the talent, heart and soul that America has to offer. In addition, we?d like to introduce to you the United States team.

Tyler Weaver - Highlands Ranch, Colorado
Sho-dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do

11-year old Tyler has been in the martial arts since he could walk. His father, Tyler Weaver Sr., has been the owner and Sensei of Championship Karate in Highlands Ranch Colorado since 1988. Tyler, Jr. earned his black belt in August 2005; and, is such a dedicated athlete that he trains approximately four (4) hours a day. He fits a work-out in wherever he can, skipping out at school lunch or while his schoolmates are taking recess. It’s clear, that karate is his passion and world; and, his accomplishments reinforce his conviction. It’s that kind of dedication that helped him earn six (6) NASKA World Amateur Karate Championships in Extreme Weapons and Forms; eight (8) NBL/SKIL Amateur Grand Championships; six (6) WSKF World Championships; seven (7) NASKA National Championships (2005 & 2006); fifty-six (56) first place wins and twenty-three Grand Championships.

He’s competed throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico; and, has made numerous television guest appearances such as the Megan Mullally Premiere Episode; VH1 Best Week Ever; TFC’s Balitang America International; WB2 Sports Highlights; Sport Martial Arts TV; and, ESPN2 ISKA ‘Night of Champions’. He’s also appeared in Sport Karate magazine; Martial Arts off-line magazine; Kono Magazine; Kiai Professional Apparel; and, Rocky Mountain Sports to name a few.

Currently, Tyler is a member of the highly acclaimed Team Pro Rank, and is a performer with Sideswipe’s Theatrics Production having performed for the Gong Show in Denver; Denver’s Got Talent; Six Flags Martial Arts Day; Nike Town Denver; and, for the Denver Nuggets. His talent and accomplishments have widely been recognized. In 2006 and 2007 he became an ISKA World Champion; and, in 2005 earned three (3) SKIL World Championships in Weapons and Forms. 2005 brought an induction into the Kids Blackbelt Hall of Fame; and, in 2006 an induction into the Junior Blackbelt Hall of Fame. He has studied Kenpo, Ninjutsu and Amis in addition to Tae Kwon Do. In addition to the martial arts, he enjoys extreme acrobatics, tumbling, baseball and skiing.

Even with Tyler’s busy training, competition and appearance schedule, he finds time to instruct martial arts classes to other young kids; including, private lessons to many up-and-coming world champions. Tyler conducts himself beyond his years, and behind his boyish appearance there lies a strong young man eager and willing to share his wisdom, talent and skills. With Tyler’s strong determination of hopeful dreams and goals, for every child he is truly an inspiration.

The International Martial Arts College, USA carefully selected these top athletes from throughout the United States. Our criteria for selection considered not only their athletic abilities, but even more importantly there ability to represent the United States of America as upstanding goodwill ambassadors at this extraordinary international event. Each of these competitors reflects the core values of IMAC, USA which embodies integrity, humility, courtesy, honesty and a respect for others without regard for gender, age, social and/or economic background. We at IMAC, USA celebrate the joy found in honest effort and the value of setting a good example to the youth and future of our country. As martial artists we understand that our sport is a way to develop oneself physically and mentally, as well as developing positive character traits such as self-discipline, politeness, loyalty and honor. We pride ourselves as being of humble mind and gentle spirit and follow a strict ethical and moral code. As representatives of our country, we realize that we share a civic responsibility to reflect a positive and well tempered manner on each of our fellow citizens that we collectively represent.
